Please see the Considerations before copying a Pathway guide prior to copying a Pathway.
Click on the Details tab.
Click Copy below the text at the bottom of the page.
You will be presented with a popup window with several options.
Firstly, you can rename the copy of the Pathway to distinguish it from the original. If you enter a Suffix, this will be applied to the copy of the top-level Pathway and any child pathways you choose to copy.
The new title example box shows you how the name of the copied pathway(s) will appear.
Next, you can choose from 3 options regarding any Pathways contained within the Pathways (child Pathways). This option will only appear if the Pathway you are copying contains child Pathways.
You can also choose from 2 options regarding any Assessments within the Pathway.
The options are explained in detail below.
|Copy first level of child pathways only||
This option will copy the first level of child Pathways only. You will be able to customise the copied child Pathway(s) activity and assessment settings in the same way that you can with the parent Pathway.
The copied child Pathway(s) will only appear in the Activities tab of your main Pathway and not in Content Manager.
|Copy all levels of child pathways||
This option will copy all levels of child Pathways, i.e. if you have a Pathway within a child Pathway, this will be copied as well.
|Link to existing child pathways||
This option keeps a link to the original child Pathways so you won't be able to amend any of the activity or assessment settings of those child Pathways.
This radio button will copy any Assessments as well as the Pathway so you are able to edit the questions, increase the pass mark and set a number of attempts.
If you choose this option, the copy will need to be maintained manually by an Administrator if any amendments are made to the original Assessment (i.e. if questions are Retired in the original Assessment).
|Link to existing assessments||
This radio button will link to any existing Assessments and will not allow you to make any changes to the questions or settings.
No maintenance is required with this option - if the original Assessment is updated, the new Pathway will reflect these changes automatically.
Click on Continue to save the changes.
You will be taken to the Common Tasks area for your new Pathway where you will be able to carry out administration tasks as you would for any other Pathway, such as adding new Activities to it or assigning Users.
If you wish to change Activity settings, such as the roll-up settings or the order of Activities, please see the following guides:
