Report Filters allow you to refine your results so that you only view the data that is relevant to you.
The Filters available will depend on the Report you are viewing and will appear in the top half of the page when you have run your Report. An example of Filters is shown below for the Activity Completion Status Report (one of the standard pre-defined Reports available):
Some Filters allow you to simply enter data to be searched on:
In the above example, we can search for a User by name.
Other Filters allow you to select from an option dropdown menu:
In the above example, we can change the Completion Status to Incomplete and Not Attempted so that we can just Report on people who are yet to complete their Activities.
Don't forget to click on the Run Report button if you change any Filters:
When creating or editing Reports, the Filter and Sorting tab (step 4 when creating a new Report) allows you to set up or edit the Filters available on the Report page.
Any changes that you make here will be permanent in the Report when it runs (unless you amend the Filter again in the Report page). For example, by default, this Report will only look at active Users:
You could however amend the Filter to 'Archived', for example, if you wanted to look at some recent leavers by simply clicking on the Filter Value and changing it from 'Active' to 'Archived':
