The maximum upload limit for any file is 330MB. Should you wish to upload a larger file, please contact the support team.
Navigate to Content Manager from the Menu and click on Create tab.
You now have the option to drag and drop the document, browse for it, or use the Document button to navigate to a file on your computer or link to a web-based document.
Drag and drop the file
This method allows you to upload more than one file at a time. Open up a file explorer window and drag the file(s) from the explorer window into the LMS and drop in the area indicated by dashed lines, as shown below.
The file(s) will be displayed in the drag and drop area.
Browse for the document
This method allows you to upload more than one file at a time. Click on the browse link within the drag and drop area indicated by the dashed lines.
Navigate to the file(s) on your computer and click on Open.
The file(s) will be uploaded to the drag and drop area.
Click on View to be taken to a Document's administration area.
Use the Document tile
Click on the Document tile.
You can upload any file type which is listed in the supported file extensions:
Click on the Choose file button and navigate to the file on your computer.
Alternatively, click the Link to a web based document radio button to enter the URL of a webpage:
Click on Save.
Update the Document Details in the administration area
No matter which option you chose, once the file has been uploaded, you will be taken to the administration area for the Activity.
Click on the Details tab.
You can amend the name of the Activity if you need, along with adding a Description, Code and Objectives.
We would recommend that you add a Description so that users know what the activity is before they look at it.
Document Options
At the bottom of the Details tab, you have a number of different Options.
View online |
This option is only available for web based or .pdf documents and will open the document in a new browser window. |
Enable Downloads |
This enables the user to be able to download a copy of the document to save locally on their computer. Selecting the Download only option will change the Register me button to a Download button in Find Learning. |
Disable Time Tracking |
As documents can be easily left open in the background, time tracking for document activities can be inaccurate. In addition, some documents are incompatible with time tracking. It is recommended to tick the Disable Time Tracking box for Document activities. |
