Templates that allow you to ask questions, such as the Question and Answer, allow Users to test their knowledge as they progress through the course*.
This guide will show you how to edit the Question and Answer template, which is available when you are using the eCreator (generic) theme or a theme you have created. The Question and Answer template has more features than the Multi Response or Single Response Question templates so we would recommend you use this template instead.
Edit the template text
Click anywhere in the question or answers to edit the text.
Amend the number of answers given
You can amend the number of answers a User can select from by using the Number of Options dropdown menu underneath the template.
On the Question and Answer template, you can choose between 2 and 7 answers.
Amend the type of answer choice
By default, the template will load with Multiple Choice as the Answer option, however, you can change this to Single Choice if you prefer.
This will amend the checkboxes next to the answers to radio buttons.
Denote the correct answers
Tell the template which are the correct answers by ticking the check boxes next to the answers (if you have chosen a single answer instead, select the radio button next to the correct answer).
Add answer feedback
Click on the Feedback tab.
Type into the boxes to give feedback for correct and incorrect answers.
If you are using the Multi or Single Response template, you will only be able to add one feedback option so you will need to keep the feedback generic.
Change the transparency of the question window
Use the + and - buttons for the Opacity option.
This is how the question window appears with the opacity set to 75%.
Move the question window
Hover over the question window until you see the cross icon.
Click and drag the question window to reposition it.
Resize the question window
Click on the bottom right-hand corner of the question window, where the triangle is.
Click and drag to resize the window.
*Please note that answers to these questions are not recorded anywhere and do not form part of Assessments. If you need to test Users, you will need to create an Assessment and add that, and your eCreator course, to a Pathway.
