Navigate to the Menu and click on Site Settings.
Click on the Themes option.
Click on the Create New Theme button.
Within the popup window, type in a Name for the eCreator Theme.
Choose eCreator Theme from the Type dropdown list.
Click on the Create button within the popup window.
You will be taken to the Edit Theme tab.
The Theme is divided into editable sections to make it easier to amend specific areas and it will default to open up on the Common list, where you can select the main and additional colours of your theme, along with other settings.
The sections you can amend are:
Common | Set the main colours of your Theme.* |
Backgrounds | Set the background colour for your Theme or upload a background image. You can also set the background borders here. |
Navigation | Upload your own images to use as the back and next buttons within your courses. The display preview on transparent background tick box allows you to preview the button against a background. |
Header | Upload your own banner image. The display preview on transparent background tick box allows you to preview the banner. You can also choose to remove the banner. |
Footer | Choose the colours you'd like to use for the Home and Menu, page number background and Add a Comment buttons. |
Quizzes and Questions | Upload your own images to use in the quiz and question slides. The display preview on transparent background' tick box allows you to preview the images against a background. |
Pop ups | Set the colour and style you'd like to use for popups. The display preview on transparent background tick box allows you to preview the images against a background. |
Video | Upload your own images to use for the Video and Text Version buttons. The display preview on transparent background tick box allows you to preview the images against a background. |
Assets | Upload your own image of a pen. The display preview on transparent background tick box allows you to preview the images against a background. |
*The colour palette is relatively small to ensure a consistent colour scheme, and means that if in future you decide to re-brand your courses this will be easy to do. Defining light/dark colours also means that when building courses you choose light text to go on the dark panel, etc.
Change a colour
Click on one of the colours to amend it and a colour picker will be displayed.
Simply move the slider on the right-hand side to find the colour you'd like to use...
And click onto a colour within the colour picker to select it.
Alternatively, type the hex code for the colour into the box.
Click on Choose to select the new colour.
Upload an image
Images can be uploaded wherever you see the upload button:
Navigate to the file on your computer and open it to add it to the Theme. We recommend that you save the images as png or svg files with a transparent background.
Tick the Display preview on transparent background box to preview what the image will look like once it has been added to the page.
