After you have set up the Responsibilities Map, you will be given the option to take the Responsibilities Map tour.
We would recommend that you take the tour prior to editing the Responsibilities. This guide gives you an overview of the tour, which will appear as popup windows over the responsibilities editor.
Step 1
This step highlights the top dropdown menu of the Responsibilities editor near the top of the screen.
When you begin to create your Responsibility Map, you will start with a Draft version. When you are waiting for staff to accept their Responsibilities, it will be Pending, and when they have accepted, you will set it Live.
Step 2
This step shows you how you can move between two different views of the Responsibility Map.
The Category link allows you to view the Responsibilities Categories and see who is assigned to them (Categories will appear on the left, with people to the right).
The Person link allows you to view a list of staff and who is assigned which Categories (people to the left, with the Categories to the right).
Step 3
This step shows you the Filter and Search options available at the top of the Responsibilities editor.
The two dropdown menus allow you to filter by Functions/Responsibilities or by whether they are Assigned or Not Assigned. The Search box allows you to search by Code, Category, Person or Role.
Step 4
This step shows you how to change the view of the Responsibility Map.
By default, the map will load in a tabular format.
Click on the grid icon to change it to the grid view.
Step 5
You will begin to create your Responsibilities Map as soon as you click on the Edit button.
Now that you have taken the tour, the Edit or add a Category to the Responsibilities Map guide will show you how to set up the categories according to your organisation's requirements. If you don't need to add any new categories, you can start to Assign Categories (responsibilities) to your staff.
