There are lots of ways you can move items on your eCreator page.
Click and drag to move an item
Hover over an item (panel or image) on your eCreator page. When your cursor turns to a cross symbol, click and drag the item to its new position.
When moving text panels you can move the panel as a whole, or the heading and text boxes within it separately.
Move items in 1 pixel increments
This gives greater control over the position of an item on the page. To do this, click the item (panel or image) you want to move and hold down the control key on your keyboard. Then use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the object up and down or left and right.
If you are not holding down the control key, the object will move in 5 pixel increments which makes it easy to line up multiple objects.
Snap panels into position
You can also snap panels into position to help with lining up items. Click on your item, then press Ctrl and Shift on your keyboard to toggle the snap to feature on and off. When switched on the Toggle Snapping icon will appear in the top right corner.
Click and drag your item to line it up to another item. The item will snap into position.
For a reminder of the keyboard shortcuts, click the Help option in the pencil edit menu. Then click Ctrl to display the keyboard shortcuts.
You can use Ruler Guidelines to help line up and position items on your page. Using the Ruler Guidelines in your eCreator Page shows you how to do this.
Don't forget to click the Save button near the top of the screen after making changes to your page or these will be lost when you navigate away from the page editor screen you're currently in.
