When editing Question Banks, it's best to make sure that you're editing the most recent version by exporting the questions stored within your LMS.
Navigate to the Menu and click on the Question Banks link.
Locate the Question Bank you wish to amend and open it by clicking on its title.
Download the questions to either and XLSX or CSV file using the appropriate link in the Common Tasks tab.
We recommend using XLSX as it responds better to special characters, such as the pound sign.
When your Question Bank is downloaded, open the document for editing (your browser will determine how you open this).
You will see that there is an extra column for Last Uploaded - this is for information purposes only.
Now you can make all of the necessary edits (you may need to click the Enable Editing button at the top of the spreadsheet first).
In this example, we will retire a question by putting 'Yes' into the Deleted column next to the question. If you were to remove the whole row instead, the question will remain unchanged when you import it back into your LMS and it will not delete the question.
You can also make other changes to the questions, such as changing one of the answers.
Once you have made all of your changes, save the Template to your computer.
Return to the LMS and click on the Upload Questions link in the Common Tasks area.
Click on Choose File within the popup window and navigate to the file you saved to your computer.
Click on the Upload button.
The LMS will let you know if the upload was successful and it will detail how many questions have been updated and how many have been retired.
