As a User you can test your knowledge on chosen topics using the diagnostic assessment functionality. You can only do this for activities which are linked to questions in a question bank.
To identify topics which can be used in a diagnostic assessment, look for the question mark icon. The number next to the question mark indicates the number of related questions.
Search for activities in Find Learning and add to your basket using the Add to Basket button.
Once you've added all the chose activities, navigate to your basket by clicking on the Basket tab.
Click on the Add a Diagnostic Assessment link.
Choose the settings you wish to apply to your assessment and what feedback you wish to be provided post-assessment. For guidance on what each of the options mean, see the Create a Diagnostic Assessment guide.
Click on Save.
You will be returned to your basket but will now see the diagnostic assessment at the top of your pathway.
You can either decide to create your own pathway containing the diagnostic assessment and the activities you are being assessed on or choose to create a Stand-alone Assessment.
Create a Pathway
As part of the pathway, the diagnostic assessment will direct you to the activities where you have demonstrated you have a learning need. Any activities for which you have met the minimum pass mark as set above will be marked as exempt.
If you wish, you can go on to create a Pathway Assessment too by clicking the Add a Pathway Assessment which will then reassess you once you have completed the diagnostic assessment and any required activities.
Please see the guide Create a Pathway Assessment for how to do this.
When your pathway is ready, click on the Register Me button.
A popup window will ask you to name your pathway and confirm your registration onto it.
Create a Stand-alone Assessment
The Stand-alone Assessment will assess you on the topics but will not direct you to complete any of the activities if you do not attain the minimum pass mark.
Tick the checkbox to use as a Stand-alone Assessment.
Now click on Assess Me button at the bottom of the list of activities to immediately launch the Assessment and test your own knowledge.
A popup window will ask you to name your pathway and confirm your registration onto it. You will then be directed straight to the diagnostic assessment.
