You can link to documents within a Page. This enables the User to click on text or an image within the Page to download the document.
The document must first be uploaded to the Page as an Attachment. See this guide for instructions on how to do this.
Next, we need to obtain the URL of where the file is stored in the LMS. To do this, hover over the Attachments dropdown menu and right click on the file you want to use. Then, click Copy link address.
Now we can add the document to the Page. In the Page editor, insert the text or image you want the document to be linked from.
Click the image or highlight the text, and then click the Insert/edit link button in the editing ribbon. In the popup window, paste the file URL into the URL field.
In the popup, you can also set in the Target dropdown whether the link should open in the same tab (by selecting None) or in a new tab (by selecting New window).
Click Ok to insert the link.
The file will download automatically when the link is clicked by the User.
