This guide explains how to remove multiple Categories at once. This can only be done if the Person Category Group has been set up so Person Categories can be assigned in bulk via the Main Menu.
You can also remove Person Categories for individual Users within the User's profile. See the guide [Insert guide name] for how to do this.
Navigate to the Category Group via the Menu. Person Category Groups will be indicated by the icon .
In the below example, the Person Category Group is called Certified Functions.
When you access the Person Category Group via the Menu, you can make the following removals in bulk:
- all Categories assigned to a single User across all Legal Entities,
- select Categories for one or more Users
- Categories relating to specific Legal Entities for one or more Users.
Navigate to the Users tab of the Category Group.
To remove all Categories for all Legal Entities that a User is assigned to, click on the tick box to the left of the User's name.
The Actions dropdown appears.
Click on the Actions dropdown and select Remove.
A summary screen will appear confirming the number of assignments to be removed for number of selected Users and number of selected Legal Entities.
Check the details are correct then click on Confirm if correct. If not, click Cancel and refine your selection using the filters.
For example, if I wanted to remove a single category for a specific Legal Entity, I can select the Category from the Category Group filter (this will be named the same as the Category Group Label) and select the Legal Entity from the Legal Entity filter.
I can now select each user I want to remove this Category from and choose Remove from the Actions dropdown.
In the above example, only the Material Risk Taker Category which is aligned to the Unibourne Investments Legal Entity will be removed from the selected Users. Any other Categories assigned to those Users will remain unchanged.
