Once you have created your own System Roles following our guide Create System Roles in Site Settings you might want to set reporting line relationships with these roles. For example, if you have created the System Role of T&C Manager, you will want to set the relationships between the Users and the T&C Manager responsible for them.
The Reporting Lines tab in a User's profile is where you can set reporting line relationships for a User. These include:
- Line Manager
- Delegation
- Any System Roles created in Site Settings
To set, amend or remove a Line Manager, please refer to the following guides: Set/Add a Line Manager and Change/amend a Line Manager.
To set, amend or remove Delegation, please refer to the following guides: Assign a Delegate Manager and Unassign a Delegate Manager.
You can set reporting line relationships in either the Manager's or User's profile.
From the Manager's profile
In this example we will set Anita Bank as the T&C Manager for another User. Navigate to the Manager's profile (Anita Bank in our example) and click on the Reporting Lines tab.
Click the Add Reporting Line button.
In the popup that appears, choose T&C Manager from the Select relationship dropdown.
In the Enter person's name field, search for and enter the name of the User your T&C Manager is responsible for.
Click Confirm.
Anita Bank has now been set as the T&C Manager for Beth Chapel.
From the User's profile
In this example we will set Anita Bank as the T&C Manager for another User, but this time we will do this from the User's profile. Navigate to the User's profile (Beth Chapel in our example) and click on the Reporting Lines tab.
Click the Add Manager button.
In the popup that appears, search for and enter the name of the User that will be the T&C Manager of Beth in the Enter person's name field. Choose T&C Manager from the Select relationship dropdown.
Click Confirm.
Anita Bank has now been set as the T&C Manager for Beth Chapel.
