You can informally test User's knowledge by adding questions to your eCreator course using one of the question templates available. The answers to these questions are not recorded anywhere and do not form part of Assessments. If you need to formally test Users you can create an Assessment. Our guide Create an Assessment will show you how to do this.
There are a range of question templates available. The eCreator Templates guide provides a description of all available templates. The Question and Answer template has more features than the Multi Response or Single Response Question templates, so we recommend using this for more flexibility. This guide focuses on the Question and Answer template.
To add this template to your eCreator course, click Add Page from either the Pages tab:

Choose the Question and Answer template.
You are presented with a question panel. The question panel contains:
- A heading box
- Space to write the question text
- 4 answer options
- A submit button
You can customise the question panel by:
|Deleting any items in the panel||Click into the item, for example the heading box, click the pencil menu and choose the rubbish bin item.|
|Resizing any items in the panel||Click and drag the bottom right hand corner of the item to resize.|
|Re-position your panel or any items within it||
Click and drag the panel or item to where you want it in your page. The guide Move an item on an eCreator page explains this further.
|Add items into your panel||For example, you can add additional answer options to your question. Click the panel to reveal the pencil menu. Click the plus option and choose the item you would like to add.|
|Amend the type of question from Multiple Choice to Single Selection||Click the panel to reveal the pencil menu. Select the Settings option and toggle the button to turn on Single Selection.|
You can edit your question or answer text by clicking anywhere in the relevant panel.
To denote the correct answers, click the selection box or radio button next to the correct answers. When selected the box will be filled and circled.
To customise the feedback the Users receive for correct or incorrect answers, click the Submit button and choose the Link option.
Select Correct Answer to add in the feedback if the User chooses the correct answer. Repeat with Incorrect Answer.
Add additional question panels
To add multiple question panels to your eCreator page, click the Plus menu on the left hand side of your page editor. Choose the Add Question option.
A new question panel will be added to your page. Move to position and customise this using the instructions above.
